Prohibition on the sale of non-selective traps

The new Decree-Law No. 38/2021 of 31 May was updated and published, which applies a new regime for the protection and conservation of wild flora and fauna and the species' natural habitats.

One of the main novelties of this normative framework was the prohibition not only of the use, but also of the commercialization of means of capture or slaughter of mammals, birds and other specimens of fauna, namely, of non-selective traps and nets, since, the The use and sale of these devices represent a serious threat to the conservation of several endangered and legally protected species of wild fauna, and these new constant measures are fundamental against the threats that affect wild fauna, as well as to ensure the conservation of wild species.

Therefore, Lacrilar does not sell any type of non-selective trap.
